Justin Dixon, LPC, LCMHC

Owner, Therapist, Supervisor

Life can feel like a lot sometimes.

Work. Relationships. Parenting. Finances. Expectations. The endless list of things demanding your attention.

And then there's the noise inside your own mind.

“I need to be more productive.”
“I should have handled that differently.”
“I deserve a break.”
“A break? You haven't earned a break yet.”

Before long, it can feel like you're carrying around a constant stream of pressure, self-criticism, uncertainty, or overwhelm.

I work with adults navigating this chaos: the anxiety, identity challenges, relationships, emotional overwhelm, self-criticism, and recurring emotional or relational patterns. I especially enjoy helping thoughtful, growth-oriented clients better understand themselves while building lives that feel more intentional, authentic, and emotionally grounded.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and insight-oriented while also helping clients develop practical tools for meaningful change. I believe therapy should feel both emotionally safe and thoughtfully challenging- a space where you can explore patterns honestly without feeling judged, rushed, or reduced to a diagnosis.

I frequently integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), ACT, DBT, attachment-based work, mindfulness, and neuroscience-informed concepts to help clients better understand how emotions, relationships, beliefs, and behaviors interact. Sessions often blend emotional exploration with practical strategies, helping clients move beyond surface-level coping and toward deeper self-awareness, emotional flexibility, and sustainable growth.

I have particular interest and experience working with LGBTQ+ clients, identity development, relationship dynamics, communication patterns, anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and life transitions. Clients often tell me they appreciate my authenticity, warmth, collaborative style, and ability to explain complex emotional patterns in approachable and meaningful ways.

At the heart of my work is the belief that meaningful change rarely happens through perfection or dramatic transformation. More often, it develops through curiosity, emotional honesty, and small intentional steps over time. I view therapy as a collaborative process that helps people better understand themselves, navigate life's challenges, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with who they want to be.
